We have a current opening for a colormatcher at our Edwardsville, Kansas facility. Previous experience within the Ink Industry is preferred.
The function of this positon is to perform lab tests on printing ink to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Essential functions of the job are:
Compare customer sample with standard color card, or blend pigments into ink sample and compare results with customer sample to determine formula required to duplicate colors. Select raw materials according to properties desired by customer. Record color formula and issue formula and mixing procedures. Compare draw down with customer''s sample to verify color shade.
One-year certificate from a college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Read and interpret documents and manuals; write routine reports and memos.
Follow written and/or oral instruction.
Basic Math skills ie; Compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
Apply common-sense understanding to carry out detailed written, oral, or diagram instructions and deal with problems involving several variables in standard situations.
General computer skills; SAP knowledge preferred.
Proficiency with spectrophotometer and densitometer.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
